The Stained Glass of St James' Church, Reading  by John Mullaney Please contact St James' Parish office. OUT OF PRINT WITH THE PUBLISHER

St James' was the first church design of the great Victorian architect AWM Pugin. As such the building and its decoration are of national importance.

The sanctuary windows are probably ealry examples of Pugin's eccesiastical stained glass. Over time, as the church itself expanded, it added to its collection of coloured windows. This boooklet helps explain the history and the meaning of all the windows in the church.

The illustrations of the windows are in colour throughout and the booklet is 36 pages long.
